RIVER’S EDGE PHARMACY’S COMMITMENT TO PATIENT SAFETY DURING COVID-19
Despite the challenges to the healthcare community posed by COVID-19, River’s Edge Pharmacy remains undeterred from our mission to provide expert, compassionate care. To ensure complete safety for our patients, each River’s Edge Infusion Center enforces CDC Guidelines of maintaining 6 feet of distance between individuals inside the facility. We are in this together.
RIVER’S EDGE PHARMACY INFUSION CENTERS – SAFETY MEASURES
SCREENING FOR COVID-19 SYMPTOMS
We screen all patients and visitors for COVID-19 symptoms. Prior to an appointment, each patient is contacted by a River’s Edge staff member and asked about any symptoms. When patients arrive for an appointment, their temperature is checked immediately. Additionally, they and their guests will be asked about any cough, fever, and other symptoms of respiratory virus infection that they or others in their household may be experiencing. After each appointment, River’s Edge staff members monitor the patient’s health with the use of detailed screening questionnaires before scheduling further appointments. Additionally, each River’s Edge employee utilizes the CuroRX Screening Survey feature before reporting to work.
Hand sanitizer is available at each entrance and at numerous locations throughout each River’s Edge facility. All patients and guests are asked to sanitize their hands when entering the building. In addition, each member of our health care staff sanitizes their hands before and after each patient encounter.
Each facility is sterilized with hospital-grade disinfectant three times a day.
MASKS FOR STAFF
All River’s Edge Pharmacy staff members wear masks. The type of mask staff members wear is determined by the type of care they provide, to best ensure their safety and the safety of our patients.
MASKS FOR PATIENTS & GUESTS
All patients and guests of patients will be asked to wear a mask or cloth face covering while in the facilities. Patients may bring their own masks. And if patients do not have one, face masks will be made available to them.
IN-HOME SERVICES – SAFETY MEASURES
At River’s Edge Pharmacy, we want our patients to remain safe in the comfort of their home. We also want them to be confident in knowing the precautionary measures we take to limit any exposure to Covid-19.
Contactless delivery is provided by our delivery and courier team members, and arrive at our patient’s location wearing protective masks. Our pharmacy services are completely automated, including tele-pharmacist consultations and secure HIPAA-compliant SMS texting. We utilize the CuroRX Digital Survey feature to monitor patient health before any nursing visit, and follow up with the patient after the visit. We have also extended our services to include any over-the-counter medications to be delivered with our patient’s specialty medication.
