Covered entities view River’s Edge Pharmacy as a “one-stop shop” where patients can fill their maintenance prescriptions as well as specialty prescriptions.
River’s Edge Pharmacy offers a robust 340B program to covered entities including Federally Qualified Health Centers, Ryan White Grantees, Critical Access Hospitals, Sexually Transmitted Disease Clinics, and many more. With River’s Edge Pharmacy, you can expect standard care to include free delivery, prior authorization assistance, clinical assessments, access to patient assistance programs (copay reduction), medication therapy management, medication synchronization, auto refills, blister packaging for medications, and proactive refill reminders. We also accept all major insurances.
Covered entities view River’s Edge Pharmacy as a “one-stop shop” where patients can fill their maintenance prescriptions as well as specialty prescriptions such as biologicals for rheumatoid arthritis, oncology, chemotherapy, IVIG, and hemophilia. And being a “specialty pharmacy”, we have access to medications that most pharmacies do not.
River’s Edge Pharmacy has its own infusion centers for infusion medications, and prepares sterile and/or hazardous medications in IV hoods for special handling. Patients are also able to receive their infusion medications in the comfort of their own home, delivered and administered by specially trained and certified nursing professionals. And while some prescriptions are considered a “medical benefit”, River’s Edge Pharmacy provides medical billing services so patients may receive payment from their insurance provider.
Durable medical equipment is available to River’s Edge patients, directly through our in-house Medical Supply Division. And all River’s Edge patients have access to FREE telemedicine services through the cloud-based CuroRx platform.
River’s Edge Pharmacy has partnerships with many hospitals to provide discharge services so patients may receive their discharge prescriptions BEFORE they leave the hospital.
Below is an example of how this process works:
1. Hospital expects to discharge a patient within the next few hours
2. Physician writes prescriptions for patient to use after discharge
3. Discharge nurse compiles discharge instructions
4. Hospital sends discharge prescriptions to River’s Edge Pharmacy
5. River’s Edge Pharmacy fills prescriptions and delivers them to the patient in the hospital
6. Patient is discharged with all the medications they need
This process allows the patient and/or caregiver to go directly home and focus on getting better. With River’s Edge Pharmacy, there is no need to stop by a pharmacy.
The greatest reason that covered entities partner with River’s Edge Pharmacy for 340B contract services is the CuroRx referral platform. Integrated with 12 EHR systems, providers can seamlessly send referrals to River’s Edge Pharmacy through the HIPAA-compliant referral platform. Prior authorizations and appeals are automated to enhance patient care and decrease the amount of time a patient has to wait for therapy. There is no cost for providers to sign up for CuroRx, and implementation takes less than two weeks.
River's Edge Pharmacy proudly displays the URAC, ACHC, and NABP Accreditations as they demonstrate their commitment to quality healthcare services.
